I'm Summer.
I have been working in marine science for the past several years. I have worked in micro-plastic research, sea turtle rehabilitation, and most recently as a coral biologist. My experiences have been amazing! that being said, my true sense of joy came through educating and assisting students achieve their dreams.
My Story
Growing up a Florida native I said I wanted to be a marine biologist for as long as I can remember. I went to the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and got my degree in Environmental Science with a focus in conservation and a minor in Biology. I never anticipated I would work with corals or move into science communications!
Current Projects
Outside of running my science communications page, I'm quite busy!
I am the director of education for a non-profit.
Career advising for science students around the world.
Writing two different books for people to gain a better understanding of marine science as a whole.
Running science trips around the globe to foster students in an unforgettable adventure.
